Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon
My kingdom for a warm breakfast!! It always seems more filling! This looks like a huge mountain of egg... in fact, it's just a small piece of toast. I'm trying a gluten free loaf this week and they're diminutive!
Lunch:
Lentil and Beetroot Salad with Ricotta
Now, if there was ever a recipe that would test my friendship with the lentil, it would have to be this one. Happy to say we're still the best of friends, this was good. The mint, balsamic and olive oil through it was beautiful.
Dinner:
Beef with Creamy Mustard Mushroom Sauce
Let me tell you, I have been hanging out for this meal tonight...so much so that I saved some calories today from my afternoon snack so I could splurge on extra mushrooms and sauce. Winner winner mushie dinner! Not a very appetising looking pic but this really hit the spot! PS no yellow beans so I used broccoli.
Hi Plonky!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted so say that I stumbled upon a link to your blog yesterday on the forums and am really enjoying being able to compare how my dishes come out compared to yours! Basically the same, but it's interesting to see differences! I've been taking photos of all mine too, and hope to print them all out at the end and put them on index cards with the recipes written out on the back. Time consuming, but the recipes are so good I want to make sure I keep them up when the 12 weeks are over.
Anyhoo, creamy mushroom sauce was awesome hey?!
Ooh and I'm not really anonymous, I'm Jess 81 on the forums, but just not sure how else to leave a comment.
Keep it up and happy cooking!
Hey Jess, thanks so much for the comment. My first :)) The food is really delicious, interesting to hear that you are also taking daily pics. Great idea for the recipe cards at the end!! Good thinking. Don't you find that taking the photos makes you take your time in the presentation and treating your food a bit better? It has definitely increased my enjoyment. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Catch you on the forums! :)
